New girl :)
Hi guys!
My names steph and Ive been diagnosed with UC since I was 19. I literally just come out of hospital yesterday from having my first operation and wow I am sore still and a little bit bloated at present! Im still getting used to having this stoma and as its a little swollen still clothes are completely impossible right now! I wish I had found this site sooner though, its been a struggle and as you guys most probably know its difficult for people to understand!

Hello Steph

Welcome to TeenIBD. I have not had a stoma but had an emergency op in that area and remeber the problems with clothes. Hope it eases soon. We look forward to getting to know you.

Welcome to the site Steph.

I've found that things do get easier and better as time goes on with a stoma. After 6 and a bit years with one i can say its much easier now than the first 12 months where it can be a steep learning curve with various things.
