Starting high school.
Both my girls will be starting highschool in September. Any advice for Georgina? The school is aware of her UC and willing to work with us which is good. We have a toilet card as well and hopefully a locker for spare clothes.

Wow how time flies!!!

I can't really think of any specific advice seeing as the school is already aware. I suppose just make sure each teacher is also aware.

Well they seem to be enjoying it. Georgina is very tired as alot further away than last school and lots of walking between classes. Had one teacher go funny about her going to the toilet. But she is having a word with the nurse to see about making sure all staff aware.

Yeah its a lot more walking in High School between classes which can add up when you throw in stairs.

Speaking to the nurse sounds like a good idea and if all else fails im sure you could get a note signed by the nurse/headteacher/dr giving a brief explanation of her needs which could be shown when needed.

Hope they both continue to enjoy it and make some good friends

Well one term gone and the girls love Highschool.
Georgina has had some problems but they have been delt with in less than a day. I email her tutor and he acts. I have sent him a email at 7.77am and got a responce but 8.20am. WOW. They have allowed her to have snack stops in lessons and take it easier when she needs. It is a shame we had to wait till Highschool to get this responce.
